A week after dominating LSU, Mississippi State was dominated by Georgia. And this week, Ole Miss will try to not be dominated by No. 1 Alabama.
On this episode, Logan looks back at MSU’s 31-3 loss in Athens (10:34). The Bulldogs got off to a bad start and couldn’t stop the Nick Chubb-led Georgia offense. Nick Fitzgerald and the offense couldn’t generate anything, either, and it gets no easier this week when State visits Auburn (24:26), which might have an even tougher defense than Georgia.
Ole Miss, meanwhile, is coming off a bye week and will travel to Alabama this Saturday (19:26). The Rebels’ run defense will have its hands full, and so will Shea Patterson and the offense. It doesn’t help that center Sean Rawlings likely won’t play, although receiver A.J. Brown will be available (15:56).
Parrish also looks at the Rebels’ defensive line (17:47), where Victor Evans has been a pleasant surprise, while pass rusher Marquis Haynes has been neutralized by opponents.
There’s some basketball talk as well, namely the FBI’s bribery investigation (2:42). And while on the subject of hoops, Logan talks gauges MSU’s outlook while Parrish breaks down the Rebels and their many new components (8:46).
