Mississippi State and Ole Miss both picked up wins last week and look to build on that this Saturday, as both face tough matchups.
MSU will take on Kentucky (2:54), which won last year’s meeting on a last-second field goal. Logan examines the matchup (11:36), and he says the Bulldogs need to be cleaner on offense than they were against BYU last week.
Ole Miss took care of Vanderbilt (5:43), as the defense made some big plays. The run defense was better than it had been, but it still gave up too many long plays.
Up next for the Rebels is LSU (8:16), which is coached by former Ole Miss head man Ed Orgeron. The Tigers have looked better that last couple of games since losing to MSU and Troy. Parrish talks about a controversial comment Orgeron made recently and how big this game is for Ole Miss coach Matt Luke (14:23).
The guys talk hoops today as well. Ole Miss, picked by the media to finish 10th in the SEC this season, has some promise (19:42). The Rebs must replace post player Sebastian Saiz, but they look strong at the guard spots and are expecting big things from juco transfer forward Bruce Stevens.
MSU has some promise as well, given the amount of talent Ben Howland has brought in (23:28). But it’s still a fairly young team.
