Mississippi State’s season is shaping up nicely, as the Bulldogs are now 6-2 following last week’s dominant win at Texas A&M.
On this episode, Logan looks back at that game (5:48), which saw MSU continue to play strong pass defense (3 interceptions) while performing well on offense despite some injuries. Up next is UMass (4:26), and the Bulldogs will try to avoid a letdown while also dealing with more Dan Mullen job rumors (9:38). And Logan would like to see more action for backup QB Keytaon Thompson this week (24:56).
Ole Miss, meanwhile, is coming off a heartbreaking, last-second loss to Arkansas. Parrish notes that despite the rough waters the Rebels have been traversing this season, there seems to be no quit in this team (2:17). And there is reason to be encouraged by quarterback Jordan Ta’amu’s starting debut (14:23), even if it did include a crucial fourth-quarter fumble.
Ole Miss will try to bounce back this week against a Kentucky squad that is 6-2 but hasn’t been overly impressive (21:35).
