Two games remain in the season for Ole Miss, and they are important ones for interim head coach Matt Luke.
Parrish notes that beating Texas A&M this week could make Luke a serious candidate to be permanent coach (7:29), and beating MSU in the Egg Bowl wouldn’t hurt his chances either. Parrish believes the Rebels, who are coming off a win over Louisiana-Lafayette, have a “winnable” matchup with the Aggies.
Off the field, Ole Miss is still awaiting word from the NCAA (6:07).
As for MSU, Logan previews his trip to Arkansas this weekend (1:33), and he looks back at the Bulldogs’ near-upset of Alabama (15:41). While it was a loss, it was one of State’s better performances of the season, with young receivers and tight ends stepping up, and running back Aeris Williams having a good game. And the atmosphere at Davis Wade Stadium was electric.
The guys also talk some hoops. MSU won its opener (21:28), getting a double-double from Aric Holman. Ole Miss is off to a 2-0 start thanks to strong guard play (23;24), with wins over Louisiana-Lafayette and Eastern Kentucky.
