There’s a big rematch in Oxford on Saturday.
The MSU and Ole Miss men meet again (11:56), with the Bulldogs seeking revenge for a loss at home the first go-round. Both teams have stumbled of late, with MSU struggling to make 3-pointers on the road. A possible culprit: The ball. Bigger issues, perhaps, include the recent disappearing act by big man Abdul Ado and a knee injury to starting guard Nick Weatherspoon.
Ole Miss has lost four of its last five thanks in large part to its defensive struggles. That’ll need to be improved come Saturday, and it would help if Blake Hinson turned in the kind of performance he had in Starkville; he’s been very quiet since that game.
Parrish and Logan also take a trip down memory lane today. Inspired by the much-maligned no-call in the NFC championship game, the guys look back at some of the controversial calls they’ve seen while covering their respective football programs (2:53).
They also talk a bit of baseball. Logan looks at the Bulldogs’ weekend pitching rotation (24:05), while Parrish examines the Rebels’ second baseman competition (24:56).
