Parrish and Logan are back, and they have a lot to talk about.
Logan recaps his trips out West, where he followed the MSU men’s and women’s basketball teams in the NCAA tournament (6:43). The men fell in the first round, and now the question is who will return next season. As for the women, their bid for a third-straight Final Four berth was denied by Oregon, but the future looks bright for Vic Schaefer’s team.
Parrish has some Ole Miss basketball news, with both coaches receiving contract extensions and men’s coach Kermit Davis receiving a raise as well (3:39). Davis also recently picked up a big commitment from an Arizona forward (5:20).
There is some football to discuss, as Ole Miss readies for the annual Grove Bowl on Saturday (22:05). Parrish said new offensive coordinator Rich Rodriguez plans to keep things “vanilla” with so many eyeballs watching. In examining RichRod’s schemes, Parrish said the offensive line will be key to its success.
On the baseball diamond, the Rebels got an SEC series win at Arkansas last weekend, then suffered a head-scratching loss to Division I newcomer North Alabama (13:26). Up next is a series against Florida.
MSU will try to bounce back from a series loss to LSU when it travels to Tennessee this weekend (18:21).
