Mississippi State has the pleasure of hosting Alabama this week.
Logan previews the matchup (3:21) and doesn’t figure MSU has much of a chance. Alabama limited QB Nick Fitzgerald last season, and it’ll likely be tough sledding again given how many State receivers are out with injuries. And Bama, as usual, has a strong and fast defense. Logan also recaps last week’s sloppy win against UMass, and he says that after this week, the Bulldogs have a chance to finish strong and notch a nine-win season (20:45).
Ole Miss, meanwhile, is looking to build off a last-second road win against Kentucky (11:45). The receivers came up big in that game, and the defense had some big stops in the second half. Up next is Louisiana-Lafayette at home, and the Rebels have a chance to get some momentum going (18:14). Parrish also discusses the play of quarterback Jordan Ta’amu (14:46), who has shown poise and week-to-week improvement since stepping in for the injured Shea Patterson.
The guys also have some quick baseball updates: MSU has started practicing at Dudy Noble Field, which is in the midst of a massive renovation (23:58), and Ole Miss is making some improvements to Swayze Field (25:58).
